The internet game is not zero-sum. You can win at this with unlimited upside. This game is about the freedom to do what you want, when you want and with who you want.

If you’re with me then let’s get after it.

LAST WEEK

Playing the long game

I was watching an interview with Howard Stern and Jerry Seinfeld. Howard said Jerry’s process for creating jokes sounded like torture to which Jerry replied in classic fashion:

“Find the torture you’re comfortable with”

Jerry Seinfeld

My tortured focus has continued to be on growing from scratch the newsletter above all other channels.

  • 28 new subscribers per day

  • 2000 total subscribers 🎉

  • $230 earned in August from BeeHiiv Boosts and affiliates

I’m not pushing hardcore monetization for this newsletter as my focus is providing value to you first.

On the horizon

My plans are to double down on enabling your success as an AI solopreneur:

  1. Create a Skool community with trainings and collaboration opportunities.

  2. Zero to one AI business startup playbooks

  3. Access to discounted AI tools

If you haven’t started something yet take the next most obvious step.

  • Learn nocode tools

  • Build your landing page

  • Create the social media account

  • Post consistently to start building engagement

  • Begin developing your first digital product or service

  • Collaborate with others in your field to expand your reach

DEEP DIVE

Are you sleeping on AI Chatbots?

AI Chatbots use natural language and able to have conversations powered by ChatGPT in our case.

Applications of chatbots

  • Customer service - Chatbots can answer common questions, provide information, or route customers to human agents when needed. This improves efficiency and reduces costs.

  • Personal assistants - Chatbots integrated into messaging apps can act as virtual assistants, helping with tasks like scheduling, research, or controlling smart home devices.

  • Entertainment - Chatbots are used for fun conversations and games, like trivia or choose-your-own-adventure stories.

  • Information providers - News, weather, and other focused bots provide up-to-date information quickly on demand.

  • Marketing and sales - Chatbots engage visitors, qualify leads, and can even complete sales transactions in some cases.

Today I’ll walk though how you can build one using Chatbase, if only for the sake of using them inside your business or how you can sell this as a service.

The main use case we’ll focus on now and what’s in the highest demand is company’s want to train their own chatbot on their internal information.

This could be data from research, testimonials, SOPs, FAQs, previous chat logs, company information, mission statement etc.

Before you get started you can use a tool like Browse AI to extract data that we’ll use to train our ChatBot. This will let us extract from data from a company LinkedIn page, Amazon pages, Google places/maps, Pinterest, Trip Advisor etc.

Now we can start by creating an account with Chatbase

Create your Chatbot

Next we’ll upload our documents to ‘train’ our bot on:

Now you can use the chat interface to test some questions and see how well trained your bot is out of the box. For this example I uploaded an e-book on writing a sales letter. The answer nailed exactly what the 6 parts are outline in the book:

For your particular use case head over to settings → model. This is where we can dial in the tone, how to answer, what not to answer, where to direct them for more information etc. You can tell it to chat like Bugs Bunny if you want.

Remember this is just an example use case, much more common will be customer service, sales, marketing, entertainment, internal company questions, etc. Once you’re ready you can grab the embed code:
